OVERVIEW

The Brand Marketing Copywriter is a creative marketer first and a phenomenal writer second. They are responsible for assisting with the ideation of marketing campaigns and programs as well as writing a broad range of exquisite copy. The Copywriter will work on a variety of asset types including video commercials, social campaigns, OOH, blog, email, and experiential; and will be responsible for proofreading and delivering their work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ideate and execute brand marketing campaign assets.
• Develop product copy and descriptions.
• Evolve and protect the voice of the brand.
• Engage in brainstorming sessions.
• Develop seasonal messaging campaigns.
• Copy proofing/editing for all assigned projects ensuring proper grammar and brand voice.
• Execute more tactical copy assets such as email copy, site copy, and blog copy.
• Adhere to best practices in tagging, keyword usage, headline creation and basic search optimization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Bachelor’s degree in advertising, Journalism, English or equivalent experience in field.
• 3+ years of experience in a copywriter position at an ad agency or in-house within a full-fledged creative marketing department.
• Possess excellent writing and communication skills.
• Creative thinker with excellent client-facing skills.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Familiarity with all phases of the writing process – brainstorming, writing, revising, etc.
• Writing experience for both print and web.
• Must have strong proofreading skills.
• Preferred experience in writing copy for both B2B and B2C audiences.
• Capable in MS Office Suite (Including MS Teams).
• Ability to work in a dynamic, virtual environment requiring self-motivation and adaptability.
