Position Description: The Coordinator of Student Supports is charged with assisting in the sustainability of a positive school climate for relevant and purposeful learning (grades K-8). The position is charged with working in conjunction with the members of the K-8 social/emotional team to ensure all students are supported through comprehensive student support plans targeting social/emotional needs through push in, pull out, and small group targeted intervention in academic settings..Qualifications: Masters in education or social work preferred; with a background in student management, and experience with a systems approach to social/emotional support desired. The Coordinator of Student Supports must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to work cooperatively in a team setting to assist in identifying needs/resources for students who require either a targeted/intensive social/emotional and/or academic intervention plan. Significant experience working with students who have social/emotional needs is preferred.

Effective written and oral communication skills are required. Responsibilities: Co-responds proactively and reactively to behavior with principal and associate principal (K-8)Co-facilitates the social/emotional universal teams (grades K-4 and 5-8)Create targeted professional development opportunities for crosswalk work to occur for PBIS, Conscious Discipline, Responsive Classroom and outside agencies based on student plans, student data and grade level needs.Co-facilitates the targeted/intensive social/emotional teams (grades K-4 and 5-8)Serves as a resource to staff and families in dealing with social/emotional concerns and connects families to systems of care within the greater community. Serves as the PBiS assistant coach and works in conjunction with the associate principal on District Wide celebrations, and collaborations. Maintains a systematic approach to attendance that also results in proactive supports to assist with chronic absenteeismCoordination of CIRS Reporting and other Social/Emotional Data collection for the First Branch Unified District Any other assignment as requested by the administration to support the school and students
