- The Manager must be or become ServSafe Certified, which is a class and must pass a test on food safety to become certified (the school will pay for the manager to take the class, as it's a requirement).
- Oversees the stands inventory, ordering, stocking, product rotation, of ( pop, candy, popcorn, food items, paper products, etc.) counting product before, after, and billing out for other groups who use the concession items. Working with the AD in setting concession items prices to ensure the stand makes a profit.
- Oversees stands cleanliness/neatness and the equipment in the stand.
- Being present at all concession events, unless you have lined up another person to cover who is certified, or responsible and knows the guidelines.
- Working closely with the AD to ensure volunteer workers, groups, etc to work each event. Making sure to train the volunteers in simple food safety and taking money.
- Addresses patron concerns in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Keeps the entrances and exits of the facility clear, surveying the facility for any hazards that may exist and knowing evacuation routes in case of emergency.
- Attends work on a consistent and punctual basis.
- Onsite work required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Experience staffing spector events, including concession stands preferred.
- Experience handling money preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check required.

The Ames High Athletics staff is seeking a Concession Stand Manager for the 2022-23 school year. This could be split between multiple candidates to work year round or seasonally.
Summary
Under the direction of the Athletics Department, the Concession Stand Manager is responsible for running the operation of the concession stands including the cash box and cooking and prep areas. The employee must be available to work an event-based schedule and will work with the high school activities department on the scheduling of the concession events.
