JOB TITLE: Communications Focal Point (CFP) Technician

WAGE DETERMINATION CLASSIFICATION: Electronics Technician Maintenance III

PRIMARY DUTIES: Reports to the CFP lead. Given overall objectives and resource limitations, works mostly independently to complete all assignments. With minimal supervision and/or detailed instruction, works independently or with a team. Ensures expeditious handling of priority work while meeting deadlines and procedures as outlined in the performance work statement (PWS). Helps ensure all applicable PWS requirements are met in a timely manner. Completes other CFP and contract duties as assigned.

SECONDARY DUTIES: Provides direct CFP support for the 10th Comm Squadron’s preventative maintenance inspection program, all 10th Communications Squadron scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and inputs CFP data into multiple Government-provided databases. These databases include but are not limited to the Work Order Management System (WOMS), Remedy, Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS), and the Asset Inventory Management (AIM) system. Provides on-call/after-hours support as defined in the PWS. Helps maintain technological standards and helps investigate and helps promote new technologies for use by USAFA. With minimal supervision and/or detailed instruction, provides support to other contract work centers in cases of manpower shortages or unexpected requirements.

EXPERIENCE: Five years of military/non-military equivalent communications technical experience in communications-electronics maintenance or information technology.

EDUCATION: An associate’s degree or equivalent experience in a communications-related career field.

REQUIREMENTS: A SECRET security clearance is required. A CompTIA SEC+ certification is required. Excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced military environment are required.

Hourly Rate: $29.13/hour and per SCA guidelines, you may be eligible for an additional $4.41 per hour for Health and Welfare if you choose to waive company benefits.
