Sharon Bank has an immediate opening for a Lending Documentation Specialist in our Commercial Loan Documentation Department, working directly with our Lending and Loan Administration teams. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing LaserPro Loan Documents for new loans, renewals, and modifications.

  • Prepare and review Loan Documents in coordination with our Business and Commercial Real Estate Lending teams.
  • Work closely with attorneys, when engaged, through the loan documentation preparation and closing process
  • Work with our internal Loan Operations team to transfer the information for booking to our core
  • Prepare wires and initiate Funding accordingly
  • Work closely with Loan Officers on assigned loans
  • Work with a pre-closing team both internally and externally on loan originations
  • Create the Loan Documentation Closing File with all supporting documentation for On-Boarding and Scanning
  • Prepare and Monitor Exception Report for updates as loan officers resolve issues
  • Assist in developing policies and procedures
  • Prepare Closing Checklists and partnering with Lenders to ensure all requirements are satisfactory
  • Other backup operational duties as needed.

Qualifications & experience

The successful applicant will have the following:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of Commercial Documentation Specialist with experience using a documentation program (LaserPro strongly preferred)
  • Familiarity with corporate structures and real estate collateral
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Be organized and detail oriented, with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Be able to perform and respond to multiple tasks in a fast-paced high-volume area
  • Possess knowledge of lending terminology
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of Commercial Loan Documentation including, loan notes, construction loans, mortgages, UCC filings, property searches, flood and property insurance, proof of entity documentation.
  • Possess strong communication/organization skills.
  • Time management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • Be able to work full-time in office, however remote capabilities area available as approved by supervisor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
