Job Summary

Nidec Minster Corporation, is currently seeking Machinist/CNC/Manual. Machinists for Minster will work in an engineered to order "job shop" environment where our products are made one at a time requiring many set ups and holding close tolerances. There is no high volume production work at Minster. Technical abilities such as high level shop math, print reading, use of micrometers, indicators, etc. and other Job shop machinist's tools are required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Safely operate machine tools such as mills, lathes, grinders and machining centers with multiple capabilities.
• Machine setup, tool setting, loading and unloading fixtures and tools, deburring
• Inspection of cell products, material movement associated with the cell
• Direct customer contact may be required at times
• Preventive maintenance
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area

EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

Qualifications:

• Specialized training such as a JVS or tech school a plus
• Ability to read complex engineering drawing and work in close tolerances.
• Must be able to operate CNC and manual machining equipment
• Ability to program CNC equipment a plus.
• A manufacturing background in a "job shop" environment preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and a sense of urgency.

SALARY/BENEFITS

Minimum Starting Rate: $23.54/hour for Relief Operator, $19.97/hour for Machining Support positions

Top Rate: $29.28/hour (Machinist), $24.71/hour (Mach. Support)

2nd & 3rd Shift shift differential: $3.00/hour

Available shifts:

2nd, (4) 10 hour shifts, Monday-Thursday 3P - 1:20A

3rd, 8 hour shifts, Sunday - Thursday 9 p.m. - 5:20 a.m. (Service Repair Parts Only)

1st Weekends, 12 hour shifts, Friday - Sunday (scheduled 36 hours with 11.1% shift differential to equal 40 hours pay each week)
