JOB SUMMARY:

We are currently looking for a CNC Machinist to operate across multiple machines within the machine shop to produce cold-forming dies and components for end-of-robot SPR tooling. The machinist’s responsibility will be to maintain machine tools and programs in order to ensure that they are producing the highest quality product to the engineering drawing specification. In this role, the CNC machinist will have the opportunity to work with design and manufacturing to support a wide variety of business activities using many different machine types.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Operate multiple manual machines
• Edit programs, perform offsets and tool changes on CNC machines
• Setup, understand and write G-code programs.
• Perform basic maintenance on machines
• Adhere to the quality policy of Atlas Copco and the requirements defined on the engineering specification drawing.
• Understanding the function of CMM and Profilometer to ensure quality parts are produced – makes necessary adjustments as required.
• Support and drive continuous improvement within the machining center.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Minimum three years working with machining equipment in a production environment
• Experience on CNC lathes and Mills.
• Excellent proficiency with G & M codes
• Understand and interpret GD&T
• Must be able to produce parts with minimum direction and excellent attention to detail
• Experience work on Fanuc controls is a plus
