Certified Medication Aide/Nursing Assistant (CMA/CNA)

Fort Vancouver Assisted Living is looking for a
Certified Medication Aide/ Nursing Assistant (CMA /CNA) to join our amazing team! Our facility is a smaller facility that operates with two med aides and one caregiver due to lower care needs compared to other facilities. No lift equipment, no two person assist!. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, clinically sound professional, with a passion for providing quality care to the residents we are entrusted to care for.
Essential Functions:
- Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records.
- Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication, using specified processes.
- Takes vital signs
- Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.
- Receive supply of ordered medications and apportion, mix, or assemble drugs for administration to resident.
- Record and restock medication inventories.
- Communicate effectively with Resident PCPs and facility nurse
- Assist with ADLs as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:
- Experience as a med aide is recommended but not required- We are happy to train somebody with no med pass experience if we feel you'll be a great fit with our team!
- CNA license recommended but not required- We pay for CNA school!
