About the Role:

The Talent Scout identifies, sources, and cultivates trust with clinicians identified as “Sound Targets”. These providers have unique or valuable talents and may or may not be actively seeking new employment opportunities. On a daily basis the Talent Scout will be talking to a number of people that demonstrate traits that match with Sound’s core values and would be right for a position on the team. This position will require strong persuasion skills to engender respect and trust from these “Sound Targets”.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Locates talent by identifying where talent is likely to be found and exercise tenacity with trying to get in front of this audience through calling, emailing, writing personal notes, soliciting an introduction through others. Develops a strategy for candidate engagement based on experience and drives forward with very little supervision and exercises a high degree of discretion with each interaction.

  • Must be able to source physician candidates through a variety of mediums including but not limited to cold calling, website postings, trade shows, probing for referrals, etc.
  • Must show skill in engaging physician candidates over the phone to discuss Sound and viable practice opportunities. Each interaction requires development of a strategy, execution of this strategy and constant adaptability to barriers.
  • Must be able to thoroughly screen candidates for fit with Sound’s core values of Integrity, Service Teamwork, Quality and Innovation
  • Keeping an eye on “up and comers” in hospital medicine and develop an engagement plan for each of them.
  • Evaluates current sourcing strategies and partners with Demand Generation Manager to appropriate resources to yield desired ROI and test new sourcing venues.
  • As requested will partner with Clinical Recruiters to screen candidates, develop interview itineraries, and close physicians as a part of their training/development.
  • Must be able to build relationships and interface effectively with the clinical recruiters and the regional leadership team through regular status updates and by seeking appropriate guidance throughout the scouting process. This must be done with little supervision and a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
  • Must generate on demand reports related to scouting activity
  • Must relate well to physicians and Sound Physicians’ clients
  • Projects will be assigned that require proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and database management
  • Ability to travel (15%)
  • Positively project the values and goals of Sound Physicians with sophistication and maturity required to build credibility with physicians and Sound Physicians colleagues & clients.
