Clinical Content Specialist

Pri-Med is looking for a Clinical Content Specialist to join the Clinical team and assist with the development, quality, and timely completion of grant materials and clinical content. This dynamic role calls for a detail-oriented person who can copyedit and occasionally write clinical materials, fact check clinical references, design and style PowerPoint slides and templates, and recreate scientific tables, graphs, and figures for Pri-Med’s multi-format educational initiatives. Pri-Med provides practical education to primary care clinicians to facilitate better patient outcomes. Through online and in-person conferences as well as through an on-demand platform, clinicians rely on Pri-Med for opportunities to engage with peers and renowned medical school faculty and participate in education to improve their practice. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for timely and relevant medical information is especially strong among clinicians. We help them access the latest medical information available so they can provide effective care to their patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Copyedit/proofread grant proposals, slide decks, clinical newsletters, and other clinical and non-clinical materials
  • Assist clinical team in drafting activity session descriptions
  • Assist clinical team with design and style of PowerPoint slides
  • Recreate graphics, including figures, tables, and graphs for use in multi-format educational initiatives
  • Fact check and update clinical references
  • Select online images for use in clinical content and promotional materials and label/tag content with appropriateclinical topic area
  • Assist with completion and review of documentation related to accreditation of educational activities
  • Help facilitate an efficient workflow of education development by maintaining spreadsheets/documentation andfollowing up with partners/freelancers as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, or related field
  • Excellent writing and editorial skills (writing sample required)
  • At least one to three years of experience with writing, copyediting, and proofreading
  • Proven ability to follow a style guide: AMA, APA, or other
  • Interest in understanding the needs of primary care clinicians and learning medical terminology
  • Ability to multi-task and willingness to take on new roles and responsibilities in a dynamic team
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and establish strong relationships internally and externally
  • Exceptional organizational skills and proven ability to adhere to project timelines
  • Strong graphic design skills and experience, including designing and creating PowerPoint materials
  • One year of experience with medical copyediting and/or fact checking preferred
  • Proficiency with Adobe design software, e.g., Illustrator and InDesign preferred
  • Familiarity with principles of adult learning best practices preferred

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
