Good Samaritan University Hospital is a 537- bed (including 100 nursing home beds) teaching hospital and a member of Catholic Health. The Clerk II completes a variety of clerical duties to facilitate department al functions in a faced paced hospital setting.
Responsibilities include;
- Assembling records following established guideline
- Responding to requests for medical information
- Processing incoming and outgoing mail
- Ensuring that all chart requests are processed as requested
- Working cooperatively with medical staff and other healthcare professionals in obtaining documentation to complete medical records and performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Strong desire to work in a busy and challenging environment
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- previous healthcare setting experience preferred
- Must pass Word and Excel test with a 50% or higher score
