About the Role:
The Chief Technology Officer serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team of HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. This leader is responsible for stewarding technology and information as an asset for the enterprise, to allow the organization to adapt and sustain efficacy in supporting our Life Matters movement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Infrastructure:
  • Oversees technology operations, which includes networks, cloud technology, digital platforms, business applications, analytics, and cybersecurity. Deliver top level support to members, partners, and workforce.
Strategy and Innovation:
  • Drives technology solutions to support enterprise strategy and sets the company’s technology road map. Foster technology experience to build trust and confidence. Align enterprise technology plans with the company vision, strategic objectives, and tactical business plans.
Information:
  • Manages company information assets, which includes information governance, data management and integrated reporting. Architect a portable, accessible, scalable, reliable, and secure data ecosystem for information assets.
Business Liaison:
  • Acts as conduit between technology and business operations to design and deliver a seamless and frictionless member experience. Align member touchpoints and technology to grow member value.
Executive Leader:
  • Participates on the executive leadership team to advance the mission and strategy of the organization. Collaborate with board and executive leadership to forward the company mission. Model the core values when interacting with staff, members, partners, and the community.
General Duties:
  • Provide a safe working environment. Practice sound time management judgement in prioritizing work and meeting deadlines. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements as well as business unit policies. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements: Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or relevant work experience. Graduate degree preferred
Experience:
  • 12-15+ years of proven management experience in a computer- or information science-related field (i.e., computer programming, software development, management information systems, applied mathematics, cybersecurity and managing/leading a team)
  • Demonstrated ability to influence board of directors, executive leadership, and work teams in a dynamic and diverse environment
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across businesses and with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experienced facilitator who has demonstrated ability to deliver fit for purpose content and apply experiential learning techniques
  • Proven record of driving measurable customer outcomes and success with large, complex business units
  • Strong operational discipline with an analytical, process-oriented mindset and a data-based approach to decision making
  • Demonstrated ability to align technical concepts and features to business needs
  • Proven record in leading business transformation programs, including those that involve C-Suite commitment and change management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills along with an ability to share important content with a broad range of internal and external audiences
  • Ability to travel to the neighbor islands or out of state as needed.
