Monroe County Medical Center (MCMC) is a not-for-profit community hospital that provides high-quality, patient-centered, affordable care for residents and visitors of Monroe County, Kentucky, and surrounding areas. With $18M in net revenues, MCMC has more than 245 employees and a medical staff comprised of community physicians as well as outreach specialists.

The Medical Center operates a 49-bed hospital, two provider-based clinic practices, an adult day care program, and manages the local EMS. MCMC, a PPS hospital offering primary care and emergency services, has been providing healthcare services since 1980.

Tompkinsville is situated in the picturesque area of South-Central Kentucky. Three area reservoirs – Barren River Lake State Resort, Lake Cumberland, and Dale Hollow Lake – are all within a short drive.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Monroe County Medical Center (MCMC) will be principally responsible for financial management and long-term financial sustainability of the enterprise. The CFO will supervise patient financial services, accounting, materials management, and health information management. The CFO will work collaboratively with the senior executive team to establish and monitor progress against a wide range of strategic, financial, operational, clinical, and administrative goals and policies. The CFO will establish and maintain trusted relationships with Monroe County Medical Center senior leadership and the Board of Trustees. The CFO will work to enhance relationships which are built on a high degree of trust, effective communication, teamwork, and mutual respect.

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field required. CPA is beneficial.

· 3- 5 years of progressive financial leadership experience with responsibility across the full scope of the finance function (e.g., accounting, finance, capital/operating budgets, financial planning & analysis, revenue cycle, financial management and reporting, investments, and cash management) in a healthcare organization preferred

· Experience with managed care contracting and supply chain management preferred

· Strong knowledge of health care industry trends, including state and federal regulations such as Medicare and Medicaid payment systems preferred

· Excellent communication and relationship skills are required
