Chemist 3rd Shift (Temp) Job at Fresenius Kabi
Basic Functions:
Perform all chemical analysis procedures for Critical Systems equipment and solutions necessary to manufacture Fenwal Blood Packs with anticoagulant. Assure specifications and procedures compliance.
Task & Responsibilities:
1. Performs initial and in-process and final Chemical analysis for the anticoagulant solution USP.
2. Performs chemical analysis for product stability studies and Raw Materials.
3. Performs chemical testing to the various types of water used at the plant (e.g.: R.O. Unit, well carbon filter, distilled, boiler, City and USP water).
4. Prepare and records all solution standards used for chemical analysis.
5. Verifies chemical reports, laboratory notebooks, and expiration date of reagents, solutions, instrument calibrations and production records. Verifies calculations on generated reports.
6. Performs quantitative and qualitative analysis for purpose of applicability and impact to products.
7. Performs other testing and analysis (e.g.: passivity, solution tank calibrations, CSR testing, still cleaning testing, etc…)
8. Assures a continuous flow of all necessary supplies to run the laboratory.
9. Participate and support Environmental, safety and Health to meet organizational goals.
10. Maintains trends in chemical testing results to react on possible problems before they happen.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Required:
B.S. Chemistry
Experience:
Two (2) years’ experience in a wet chemical laboratory of Pharmaceutical Industry preferably
