Platinum Business Corporation is currently seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant to fill a contract position at Tripler Army Medical Center, HI. The ideal candidate(s) should be able to work independently and collaboratively with a team.

Requirements of a Certified Nursing Assistant

• Education: Certification from an accredited institution
• Licensure: Active and Unrestricted License
• Life Support Certification: BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Additional Certifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) for specific departments
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to pass a background/security clearance

Responsibilities of Certified Nursing Assistant

• Performs nursing care and Activities of Daily living to patients whose conditions can vary widely from those requiring normal nursing care to those requiring close observation.
• During examinations and treatment of patients, positions and drapes patient, selects instruments, sets up equipment and instruments and hands instruments to physician as required. Cleans wounds and applies bandages after suturing and assists in removal of sutures, staples, and dressings.
• Makes beds and performs general maintenance duties including cleaning and sorting supplies, instruments and equipment; reporting deficiencies in supplies and equipment; cleaning utility rooms; handling linen according to policies; and cleaning patient units and exam areas as needed.
• Provides patient care as assigned to include documentation of nursing activities in patients' records as appropriate. Assists with the admission and discharge of patients and the maintenance of medical records to include filing, adding demographic information and filling out laboratory/x-ray/EKG slips.
