Caregiver / Nursing Assistant Job at PioneerCare
The primary purpose of your position is provide personal care and services to the residents of PioneerCare, in the Senior Memory Care Cottage, Skilled Nursing Facility as well as Pioneer Pointe in accordance with current guidelines and regulations. Such care and services include but are not limited to: regulatory compliance, emergencies, memory loss, activities and programming, nursing and health services, dietary, personal daily cares. Caregivers and Nursing Assistants will assure that the highest degree of residential care and services are maintained at all times while preserving the highest ethical standards, the dignity of residents and families.

Major Responsibilities
1. Caring for residents in various stages of health.
2. Assist resident as necessary with activities of daily living, such as: bathing, dressing and grooming, toileting, walking/transportation, eating and exercise.
3. Keep resident unit clean and neat.
4. Provide for emotional and physical comfort and the safety of the resident.
5. Assist with the rehabilitation of residents, according to the medical care plan applying principles of prevention of deformities, normal range of motion, body mechanics and body alignment.
6. Observe residents and report to charge nurse any observations of change in condition.
7. Carry out additional assignments as given by the nurse in charge.
8. Promoting good interpersonal relationships.
9. Proper care of equipment and use of aseptic techniques.
10. Regular, consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.
11. Maintains knowledge of resident and Vulnerable Adult rights and how they can be administered and/or fulfilled in long term care.
12. Other duties as assigned.
