The Arc of Rensselaer County is looking to hire a Benefits and Entitlement Specialist. This position is responsible for ensuring eligible individuals maintain personal benefits in the following areas: Medicaid, Social Security, SNAP, HEAP, and others. The position will complete and file the necessary forms and documentation. Must become thoroughly knowledgeable about benefits and services available to the I/DD population, utilize ongoing training opportunities to maintain that expertise, and educate agency staff about available benefits. The position will be responsible for accounting tasks, preparing General Ledger Entries, and producing various reports.
Experience with Medicaid and Social Security benefits is preferred. AAS in Accounting or Business or four years experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
