Who We Are
Bareknuckle Baseball oversees two teams in the Northwoods League (NWL); the Bismarck Larks in Bismarck, North Dakota and a new expansion team in Minot, North Dakota, the Minot Hot Tots, set to begin play in 2023.
The NWL is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 22 teams, drawing more fans than any league of its kind. The NWL provides top college players from North America and beyond a summer collegiate baseball experience. More than 290 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball in the NWL’s 29-year history.
The Bismarck Larks joined the league in 2017 and became the first team in NWL history to win NWL Organization of the Year in back-to-back seasons (2017 & 2018). The Larks sold out 27 of 36 home games in 2017 (75%) and continued their success in 2018 selling out 30 of 36 home games with an average overall attendance of more than 68,000 fans.
In 2020, the Larks became the first sports team in the country to play safely with fans in the stands during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, the Larks sold out 92% of every ticket and were named one of the top 30 employers in sports by Front Office Sports in the company of the Denver Broncos and Savannah Bananas.
The Minot Hot Tots will join the NWL in 2023. The Minot Hot Tots are looking for dedicated, driven and enthusiastic individuals to join the Minot Hot Tots front office team. Individuals will have the opportunity to help start and build a team while receiving hands-on experience in the sports, event and entertainment industry.
Who We’re Looking For
The Minot Hot Tots are looking for a Ballpark Operations Manager in Minot, North Dakota to lead, support and grow our ballpark operations team. We’re looking for a passionate, talented and positive person who strives for excellence, happiness and inspires the same in others.
The Position
As the Ballpark Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the oversight and management of all ballpark and team operations which includes but is not limited to: food and beverage, player personnel, game day staff, merchandise and event and sponsor promotions. You’ll work closely with all internal departments to manage and track budgets, processes, and other operational logistics.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Oversee and maintain inventory and stadium set-up
  • Oversee and maintain vendor relationships for operational and promotional needs
  • Oversee all food and beverage operations including but limited to menu planning, product ordering and receiving, inventory, equipment, etc.
  • Oversee hiring, scheduling and relationship management of game day staff
  • Establish and maintain a clean line of communication with internal departments to ensure the most successful operations strategies and execution of ballpark operations and events
  • Assist with merchandise sales and inventory management
  • Serve as operational event lead for all game-day and non-game day events
  • Coordinate menus, pricing and work with vendors and partners to establish food and beverage offerings
  • Ensure ballpark food operations both internally and externally are ready for games and other ballpark events
  • Assist with day-to-day maintenance of the ballpark and equipment including but not limited to repairs, moving items, organization of equipment and goods, cleaning etc.
  • Increase operational efficiencies through technology, systems and processes
  • Oversee merchandise including but not limited to ordering, receiving and inventory
  • Be knowledgeable and proficient in point of sale procedures and training service staff
  • Ensure compliance of all safety and sanitary standards
  • Oversee and manage team of seasonal operation interns
  • Assist with Funatix Event operations
  • Execute game day responsibilities
  • Represent the team at various networking events and participate in other outside, community events, as defined by the team
  • Provide best in-class customer service
  • Work all home games and ballpark/outside events
  • Other duties as assigned

Anticipated Start Date

  • Vacation days are awarded at the discretion of the General Manager with no maximum number of days allowed per calendar year. All vacation requests are to be received at least two weeks prior to needed time off. Vacation time is discouraged from April 1- September 1 due to in-season responsibilities. In the case of illness please provide notice to the General Manager as early as able.
