*Atlantic County is seeking to fill either a Library Associate, Librarian (level 1), or Librarian 2 (level 2). Please read the Definition and Requirements for these positions.

Library Associate $30,191 - $34,991

Under the direction of a professional librarian, takes the lead in organizing and implementing the technical or public service aspects of one or more library programs such as the development and coordination of events, patron services or collection management; does other related work.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree.

Librarian 1 $40,000 - $44,800

Under supervision, functions at the entry level of the professional librarian class of jobs providing a variety of library services; performs related duties as required.

A Master's degree in Library or Information Sciences in a library program accredited by the American Library Association or from a New Jersey College Master's program in Library Science that has been deemed acceptable by Thomas Edison State University.

Appointees may be required to possess a valid certification as a Professional Librarian issued by Thomas Edison State University.

Librarian 2 $45,000 - $49,800

Under supervision, provides a variety of library services in one or more functional areas of the library requiring substantial professional knowledge of and experience with librarianship theories, principles and practices; may take the lead and coordinate work assignments of Librarians 1, and/or paraprofessional/ technical staff; performs related duties as required.

A Master's degree in Library or Information Sciences in a library program accredited by the American Library Association or from a New Jersey College Master' program in Library Science that has been deemed acceptable by Thomas Edison State University.

One year of librarian experience.

Appointees may be required to possess a valid certification as a Professional Librarian issued by Thomas Edison State University.
