Chewy is seeking an Associate Director of Demand Planning to lead our Hardgoods Demand Planning team in Bellevue, WA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem solving and process improvement, a track record for utilizing data to drive decisions, and exceptional cross organization collaboration skills. This is a high-visibility role that will interact with all levels of the organization and requires a candidate that has excellent written and verbal communication skills. The primary focus of the Associate Director will be to relentlessly drive improvement to our customer demand forecasts through improved planning and execution. This role will partner closely with Data Science teams, Merchandising, Inventory Management, Finance, Analytics and Operations, and be the key leader of the Integrated Business Planning process. The role requires someone who can be agile, roll-up their sleeves, and think outside the box to succeed, as it requires managing a growing portfolio of over 60,000 SKUs. What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the Demand Planning Hardgoods team and ensure collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain forecasts that align with the strategies and objectives of the business including Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, Operations and Supply Chain.
  • Utilize and optimize forecasting tools and exception reporting to improve sales forecasting at various aggregation levels in a fast-paced e-comm environment.
  • Monitor weekly KPIs to hold stakeholders accountable for the successful delivery of key strategic targets and objectives.
  • Represent Demand Planning in the Integrated Business Planning process to highlight risks, opportunities, and trends within the business.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on systems enhancements/integrations and testing
  • Create and evolve existing Tableau reporting to ensure key metrics are visible across the organization
  • Create and evolve analytics that aid in driving deeper insights to drive business opportunities and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Optimize statistical forecast models while developing scalable systematic solutions for future growth and process improvement.
  • Communicate relevant trends and insights to the appropriate teams/executive leaders and ensure that the flow of communication reaches the proper levels of visibility.
  • Position may require travel

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with forecasting systems (SAP, JDA, Oracle Demantra, etc)
  • 7+ years of demand planning/forecasting experience
  • Experience leading and scaling teams with direct managerial responsibilities.
  • IBP/S&OP experience in large, high growth environments
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Intermediate SQL skills required
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledgeable in forecasting algorithms and models
  • Prior experience with systems enhancements/integrations preferred
  • An ability to flawlessly multi-task and thrive under pressure and deadlines
  • Self-motivated and proactive

Bonus:

  • E-commerce background is a plus
  • Master’s in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field is a plus
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience a plus

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $124,500-$245,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Non-exempt hourly team members in Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service are also eligible for additional unplanned unpaid time off (UTO). Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
