Below is a list of benefits that are offered exclusively to our Salaried Managers.

HEALTH: Our medical insurance is provided by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. If you choose to accept our health insurance coverage, you will receive an insurance packet. This information will outline everything included in your coverage. We offer two different options with Health Insurance: a PPO plan and an HDHP (with an HSA).

HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNT: As part of our HDHP Insurance plan, Team DQ will contribute $20 each payroll to your HSA.

LIFE INSURANCE: Team DQ provides you with a $25,000 life insurance policy at no cost to you (as long as you are an AUM, RGM, Maintenance or Full time staff).

DENTAL INSURANCE: Our dental program offers a wide range of service, with a maximum annual payout limited to $1500 per person covered by the plan. The policy is through Dental Care Plus.

VISION INSURANCE: Vision insurance is available as a voluntary product. Participation is at your expense and the premium is deducted via payroll deduction. The current provider is Eye Med.

PAID MEALS: You will receive 100% meal discount while you’re working.

FREE COLLEGE: Team DQ will contribute $1,560 (per year) towards your student loans!

MANAGEMENT PAID TIME OFF: After you have been employed with our company in a management position for 6 months, you may qualify for vacation pay. Vacation pay will be based on the rate of pay you are making on your management promotion anniversary.

1st year = 1-One week PTO

2nd-4thyears = 2-One week PTOs

5th year & beyond = 3-One week PTOs

OSC INCENTIVE: It is our desire to reward management personnel for performance excellence. In order to meet this goal, we establish an Operations Score Card (OSC) Incentive Plan. By reaching established OSC targets, each RGM, AUM, FTSS and PTSS has the potential to earn additional period and quarterly incentive payments. Additional incentive programs may be announced from time to time.


401K SAVINGS PLAN: The Company offers a 401K Savings Plan for staff members who are 21 years of age and work an entire year with a minimum of 1000 hours worked (for the year).

Job Functions:

  • Be an ambassador of the Dairy Queen brand and be professional in every aspect of performance
  • Enthusiastically greet and welcome fans to the Dairy Queen brand
  • Strive to exceed fan expectations and deliver fan first service through timely and quality service
  • Meet or exceed Dairy Queen brand standards with competency in inventory and cash controls
  • Ensure that all PRIDE systems and routines are incorporated into the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, setting each scheduled shift up for success
  • React to issues impacting the restaurant’s profit & loss (P&L) to optimize sales and profit
  • Assist the General Manager with hiring, training, coaching, and developing Shift Leads and Crew Members to build a highly skilled and productive team
  • Create and maintain a positive, safe, clean, and inviting environment for fans and team members
  • Calmly solve fan concerns and embrace Dairy Queen’s service recovery standards
  • Be a willing team player and maintain a cooperative, harmonious working relationship with management and team members
  • May assist the GM in some assigned aspects of local store marketing activities and projects such as public and community relations programs, evaluating local competitors’ store marketing, identifying and tracking changing consumer demands.
  • At all times exhibit a genuine passion for excellence
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of high volume restaurant leadership experience; previous quick service restaurant experience strongly preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Proven track record of effectively managing COGS and labor
  • Strong knowledge and application of safe food handling practices
  • Must be ServSafe® certifiable
  • Work well under pressure packed situations while maintaining a great attitude
  • Comfortable standing for entire shift and able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in and out of different temperature ranges.
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with the capability to oversee many aspects of the business and multiple areas simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exhibit good manners, proper personal hygiene, and promptness
  • Have fun and maintain a positive attitude at all times!
