General Description:
Under the direction of the superintendent and building principal, the individual in this position will provide leadership and support for teachers and students both inside the classroom and in athletics. The Assistant Principal is responsible for assisting the day-to-day building administration and the safety and welfare of all students and staff. They will establish a safe, pleasant, and effective educational atmosphere, and carry out school policy, student handbook guidelines, and discipline on a day-to-day basis for students in grades 6-12. This person should be a student-centered problem solver who strongly desires to create a positive and joyful learning environment and athletic programming for all students. As Athletic Director this person would also have experience within an athletic program including coaching sports, working with other coaches and athletes, support staff, and experience running athletic programs and sporting conducting events.
