ADMINSTRATIVE STAFF I - Scheduling / Front Office

*$1,000 sign-on bonus for qualifying candidates!

PMI is looking for an Admin I candidate with medical knowledge and experience in front desk operations, scheduling, and patient services in all of our Pueblo Medical Imaging facilities.

Pueblo Medical Imaging (PMI) is owned and operated by Radiology Associates of Nevada (RAN). RAN has been servicing the Greater Las Vegas Area Since 1977.
We are a comprehensive state-of-the-art diagnostic and full-service outpatient imaging center. We offer patients convenient scheduling, easy access in a comfortable paperless environment, as well as the advanced technology required for accurate evaluations and diagnosis. Our dedicated and experienced staff treats every patient with respect and dignity.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years of previous medical office experience.
  • General knowledge of insurance benefits.
  • Ability to do essential duties.
  • Ability to read, understand, write, speak and follow English instructions. Bilingual abilities preferred.
  • Ability to speak clearly and concisely for effective communication.
  • Ability to manage a fast paced environment including multitasking.
  • Must be able to type 25 words per minute.
  • Ability to use excellent communications skills.
  • Ability to work in close proximity to others in a distracting environment.
  • Possesses common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form.
  • Non-Exempt/Full-Time
  • 40+ hour /week

JOB DUTIES:

  • Greet and check-in patients in a prompt, pleasant and helpful manner.
  • Schedule, coordinate, reschedule and confirm patient appointments.
  • Relay necessary messages to staff.
  • Answer incoming calls in all job capacities.
  • Verify patient information, prior exams and history, and thoroughly document necessary information in RIS system.
  • Collect appropriate co-pay, co-insurance or deductible at the time of service and strictly adhere to cash bank procedures/policy.
  • Obtain insurance information regarding co-pays, deductibles and percentage payments.
  • Assist department with verification of benefits and authorizations as needed.
  • Scan referrals into system for calling and scheduling patients from work list.
  • Coordinate film/report pickup and delivery, as needed.
  • Perform additional duties in medical records as assigned.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • This position reports to the Lead Admin.
