Position Summary:

The Financial Women’s Association (FWA) is dedicated to advancing the leadership growth and accelerating the success of all women in the financial community. With over 800 diverse members of all gender identities and allies from top corporate, civic and academic institutions, the FWA provides compelling and critical programming such as: financial literacy, high school and college mentoring and scholarship programs, professional mentoring, high-performance skill building, and thought leadership events. The Financial Women’s Association of New York (FWA), one of the nation’s leading financial industry organizations focused on advancing women, is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant.

Reporting to the Executive Director/ COO responsibilities include:

  • Assist the FWA Executive Director/COO and support the FWA staff as needed.
  • Maintaining office files and systems scheduling meetings; maintaining calendars; answering phones; responding to general e-mail inquiries
  • Maintain the member database and relationship management systems; creating reports, conducting research and assisting with any other functions required to support the FWA Board of Directors and various committees as directed by the FWA Executive Director/COO.
  • Support for the FWA President’s Circle Committee: maintaining and updating President’s Circle Firm information files, reports, internet research; responding to e-mails from President’s Circle Committee Members (Relationship Managers); and assisting with other functions to support the FWA President’s Circle Committee.
  • Support for the FWA Financial Backpack Program, which includes handling, coordinating events/activities with the Committee co-chairs, calendar maintenance and writing and editing collateral materials and reports under the direction of Committee Co-Chairs.
  • Work with designated members of other Committees in the development and delivery of events and programs, as directed by the FWA Executive Director/COO.
  • **Must be able and willing to communite into New York City 4-6 times a year to support events.

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
