Project Overview

Advanced Automation Technologies, Inc. (AAT) is seeking to fill a full-time position on a federal contract with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting a medical research laboratory within the National Institute on Aging at the Bayview Research Center. We are looking for a full-time administrative assistant (40 hours per week during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays). The following provides a brief description of the duties and skill requirements.

This position assists the laboratory manager with:

  • Travel related tasks (domestic, international, sponsored) including originating and processing travel orders; flight, hotel, and conference registration, auto and any other reservations
  • Purchasing laboratory equipment and supplies
  • Assembling Personnel Packages including but not limited to packages for research fellows and the summer program
  • Property Management
  • Timekeeping
  • Budget Tracking

Qualifications

  • High school diploma plus two years of experience in an office setting (health care or medical research setting preferred)
  • Advanced skill level with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience at NIH or a federal government agency required
  • Knowledge of federal travel regulations and experience with a federal travel system
  • Experience with one or more federal administrative systems used for purchasing, property management, or timekeeping
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Pay: $45,760.00 - $52,000.00 per year
