POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting the Director of Life Enrichment in planning, scheduling and coordinating meaningful activities appropriate to the needs and interests of residents and conducive to their physical, mental and social well-being. Help to ensure the activity programs are appropriately presented by staff.

Ability to socialize well with residents and coworkers is vital. Preferred: Experience with dementia.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Assist the Director of Life Enrichment with planning, scheduling, and coordinating all resident activities including special events following the Life Enrichment programs on a monthly basis. Ensure active facilitation and successful implementation of the LCS Extraordinary Impressions hospitality program, LCS Cares Program and the Lifestyle & Healthy Services Program.

2. Assist in the planning and coordination of a balanced program of spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational, social, physical and environmental activities with the intent of including all residents in some area of lifestyle activity.

3. Promote a healthy community culture for all residents and employees. This is a whole-person approach to health and wellness which includes eight dimensions of wellness: Emotional, Environmental, Health Services, Intellectual, Physical, Social, Spiritual and Vocational. Ensure and exceed residents’ wellness needs relating to their mind, body and soul, which may also have a positive effect on the employees, as a result.

4. Provide individual and group educational opportunities for residents and staff in the area of disease prevention and management in the holistic spirit of the Lifestyle and Health Services Wellness Program.

5. Assist in tracking of activity participation for all Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care residents.

6. Assist in communicating information to the Health and Wellness department regarding activity ability changes in status that may require resident Care Plan updates.

7. Lead daily resident activities per our Community standards.

8. Assist in gathering each resident’s interests through the Social Spiritual History Assessment for planning person-centered approach activities.

9. Assist with preparing and distributing monthly calendars and weekly program contents according to the Community standards.

10. Assist with gathering information, articles, and photos for newsletter

11. May be responsible for transporting residents to appointments, as well as regular and special recreational outings.

12. Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.
