The Account Manager is a key part of the NYC Career Pathways project team that helps program participants who are out of work find employment. The Account Manager meets with business leaders and employers to understand their hiring needs and work with program participants to win those jobs. Other duties include fostering relationships with training providers in line with building skills for employment as well as identifying employers willing to hire participants successfully completing in house training.

Ideal candidate would have knowledge of hiring process for employers and like to create strong business and community relationships as well as have a passion for helping people who are in need of employment find jobs and a career.

Essential Job Duties:

· Develop relationships with NYC employers to understand their hiring needs and provide the best possible candidates for those job openings.

· Set up face-to-face meetings with potential employers and hiring managers.

· Help coordinate and schedule interviews with job candidates and employers.

· Provide feedback to job candidates and career coaches based on employer interviews.

· Meet with program participants and employers on a regular, daily basis either in person or via mail.

· Develops relationships with local training providers to provide access for our participants.

· Works with program participants to refer to appropriate employment opportunities and follow up on referral outcome.

· Update and provide information on employment opportunities and trends to program participants and project staff.

· Assist program participants on job retention (keeping jobs).

· Follow-up with participants and employers to ensure that their needs are met and concerns are resolved and secure verification of employment retention.

· Schedule and facilitate job fairs, on-site recruitment events and outside functions with various community partners.

· Travel throughout NYC required.

· Passion, energy, and the desire to help Program Participants get jobs is required.

· Ideal candidate would have recruiting and/or staffing skills and would like to be a part of working with NYC’s CareerPathways helping people get the skills they need for employment and make connections to employers.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

· High school diploma or GED required

· Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the field of study in Human Services preferred.

· Minimum two (2) years of experience in businesses-to-business (B2B) type relationships (meeting face-to-face and over the phone/email)

· Strong business relationship skills in any of the following areas: sales, recruiting, staffing, and/or HR-type candidate placements.

· Must be a self-starter, team-player, good communicator, and effective leader.

· Demonstrate initiative, independent judgment, discretion and decision making and effective motivational skills.

· Must be able to use MS Office apps including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as Google, LinkedIn, and related technologies.

· Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, listening and verbal communication skills. Must be able to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment with continuous change, as a team member and independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.50 per hour
