Mecca Design & Production is seeking a member to join our team in a full time position. We are seeking a highly efficient 3D Draftsman & Designer. Candidates will be expected to have experience in the tradeshow and/or construction field.

Job Responsibilities

• Communicate and present through a multitude of platforms (illustrator, blender, or equivalent 3d software, Sketchup Pro, Autocad, Acrobat Pro, etc.).

• Prepare CAD drawings based on customer and/or sales specifications and project estimates; determine scale and perform mathematical calculations.

• Communicate frequently with production to update the job progress or make design changes.

• Participate in design/production meetings and client discussions as needed.

• Support multiple projects at very different levels of involvement.
• Estimate material quantities.

Job Requirements

• 1 year experience in the Tradeshow Industry preferred.

• Minimum 3 years of professional AutoCAD experience using recent releases and producing 2D and 3D shop drawings.
• Autocad, Blender (or other 3d modeling and rendering software) Sketchup Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop.

• Knowledge of basic and complex fabrication practices. (e.g. woodworking, metal fabrication, CNC machining, graphic production)

• The ability to work independently to originate drawings based on limited information, providing workable solutions to highly imaginative design challenges.

• Knowledge of a variety of construction and finish materials including metals, plastics, fabrics, woods, and laminates.

• Experience with animation, color/material/finish design, model making and/or prototyping; 2D experience via sketching, Illustrator, Photoshop.

• Excellent communication/visualization and storytelling skills and techniques.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
