The Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of material handlers and case pick operators to safely and efficiently pick and ship quality products that comply with customer, government regulations, corporate specifications and guidelines. The Supervisor establishes a safe, results oriented culture that includes clear performance expectations with a strong emphasis on accountability and personnel development in the distribution center. While actively engaging personnel in contributing to the success of the business, this position will oversee the operations process. The Supervisor contributes to our success by leading his/her team to meet customer needs including, achieving all standards related to quality, cost, efficiency, waste, safety and productivity. The ideal candidate drives performance standards and aligns his/her team to achieve company goals.

2nd Shift - 3pm-11pm Mon-Fri (Weekends when needed)

Requirements:

• B.S. Degree or 5+ years' experience in plant operations supervision
• Knowledge and understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles
• Knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices as they apply to Food Packaging Operations
• Proven conflict resolution skills
• Knowledge of safety (personal and food) programs, policies and systems
• Ability to read and understand customer product and packaging specifications
• Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships within all levels of the organization
• Good personal computer skills with documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
• Demonstrated experience leading and influencing change and developing a strong culture of accountability and engagement
• Demonstrated ability to assess and develop talent

Responsibilities

• Promotes a safe environment for the customer's product, associates, and temporary workers.
• Follows established operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
• Builds a positive teamwork environment by listening and communicating with all associates.
• Provides corrective action as necessary to associates.
• Helps maintain attendance records.
• Monitors daily compliance with safety procedures.
• Helps investigate accidents and prepares reports.
• Provides on the job coaching and training needed to ensure associates skills are maintained at desired levels.
• Helps coordinate vacations, payroll, and time sheets for associates and temporary workers, complaints and associate concerns productivity and quality of work.
• Supports site operations leadership to ensure procedures are followed and customer satisfaction.
• Other duties as assigned.
