JOB
This position is responsible for officiating sports events at various indoor and outdoor facilities, and may also assist with skills clinic, special events, facility maintenance, and other program activities.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Initiates positive, friendly interactions with program participants, coaches, and spectators.Verifies that facilities are safe and ready for use.Assists with field/facility preparation and routine facility maintenance as needed.Officiates games and activities, and ensures the safety of participants by knowing, applying, and enforcing program rules, regulations, and procedures. Maintains controlled environment so that participants can learn the sport being played.Assists with leaving facilities in a secure and clean condition. Notifies proper personnel if there is a security or safety issue.Performs work in accordance with federal, state, and City employment and safety laws, rules and standards.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
This position exercises no supervision over others.
