The Youth Outreach Coordinator supports all aspects of First Financial’s youth-related community outreach efforts. This role will be a key member of the Youth Outreach team and will assist in the achievement of the Strategic Plan Goals through marketing, community outreach, and member relations efforts.

  • Schedule flexibility; requires work based on member group high school schedule including 7am start times

  • Emotional IQ: able to listen and understand people
  • Excellent written communication skills

EXPERIENCE: 2+ years of similar or related experience in education, financial literacy/counseling, or the credit union industry
EDUCATION: 2- or 4-year degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or related field; or equivalent work experience

Duties: *

*
Schedule and present Money Talks presentations and related events at schools within our field of membership.

  • Attendance and participation at school/credit union events (often outside of regular business hours) to support community outreach of financial literacy and promote the Credit Union to high school students within our field of membership.
  • Coordinate essential components of the FFFCU Scholarship Program.
  • Assist the Youth Outreach Manager with building relationships with schools, teachers, administrators and students for the promotion of financial literacy and the FFFCU brand.
  • Collaborate with Youth Outreach Manager in the development, creation and presentation of financial literacy programs to our members and community through classes, workshops, seminars, webinars and more.
  • Assist with the development, creation and maintenance of financial literacy content for multiple platforms, including our website, printed materials and video content.
  • Assist with student run high school branch operations including intern training, branch set-up, and campaign development.
  • Assist Youth Outreach Manager with keeping internal staff informed of Youth Marketing/Community Outreach efforts.
  • Provide support to Marketing Communication Team on assigned campaigns and projects.
  • Coordinate youth marketing form and application updates. Edits and proofreads all youth marketing forms and applications as needed; makes recommendations based on new features, policy changes or procedure modifications.
  • Assist with onsite visitations for new and existing member groups to market the credit union services. Provides onsite support to Relationship Managers as needed.

Advanced duties: *

  • Manage all aspects of a student run high school branch operations at 2 of the designated high schools.
  • Coordinate and manages Job Shadow Days for FOM high schools.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain job-related certifications.
  • May serve on Committees or Boards to represent First Financial FCU.
  • Manage essential components of the FFFCU Scholarship Program.
  • Proactively research, develop and implement designated youth initiatives, including copywriting, conducting youth market research, and development of new promotional campaign ideas.
  • Manage all aspects of a student run high school branch operations at 3 (or more) of the designated high schools.
  • Make recommendations and directs content for financial literacy platforms; online, digital and print.
  • Manage all aspects of the high school debit card program at 1 of the designated high schools.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with community organizations and leaders to advance financial literacy efforts and membership in First Financial.
  • Monitor and report on youth outreach retention programs and statistics to measure impact of youth outreach products and services.
  • Provide strategic management and dissemination of compelling storytelling in support of youth financial literacy/youth outreach efforts and initiatives.

  • Support of the Core 4 values of the Credit Union.
  • Respond to telephone calls and member requests for information.
  • Perform other related duties of similar scope and complexity.
  • Adhere to regulations and organizational policies, maintaining awareness and knowledge required to perform the duties of the position including all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Lending, and Information Security.

SALARY:
Excellent pay (salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $46,653.57- $88,844.11 annually. Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, new employees are hired in the lower half of the scale.
