Job Summary:

The Wine and Spirits Account Manager will be responsible for executing sales and distribution goals in key accounts in their assigned territory as set forth by the Sales Director.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops an effective marketing and sales strategy plan in order to maximize wine and spirits distribution within an established and growing customer base.
  • Directly communicates with Wine & Spirits Director to identify opportunities in market.
  • Analyzes current markets; identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
  • Works in the market calling on key accounts in designated territory and supporting existing sales expansion in current account universe
  • Uncover new business leads on a monthly basis to identify potential growth areas, capture market share, identify trends, and establish new target accounts.
  • Work directly with sales consultants to achieve execution of assigned volume and distribution goals.
  • Conducts tastings, attends dinners and participates in trade shows as necessary.
  • Works, when necessary, with the accounting department to resolve any billing issues within their designated territory.
  • Arrives to work, meetings, appointments and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.
  • Meets agreed upon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner.

Other Functions:

  • Follows all safety policies and procedures; communicate hazards and/or suggest improvements to Management.
  • Acts as a backup for sales consultants in their absence.
  • Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions: Field sales, significant travel by automobile.

Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 45lbs, bending, sitting, carrying, standing, manual dexterity, reaching, visual acuity, driving


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant industry experience
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Sales/marketing experience in the wine and/or spirits industry.
  • Computer literacy with a focus on MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated effective and efficient written and oral communication
  • Needs excellent time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with limited supervision.

Quite a bit has changed since then and today we distribute a wide-array of premium and craft beers, cider, import beers, wines, spirits, as well as non-alcoholic beverages and local products out of our locations in Georgia and Colorado. Eagle Rock entered the Colorado market in late-2020, assuming distribution operations for Anheuser-Busch products across the state. Today, we have nearly 500 employees in the state, operating out of 6 locations, and continue to welcome new positions to support our growth in the state.

Compensation: $48,000 - $52,000 base + $10,000 bonus potential + commission
