JOB SUMMARY

The Wholesale Shipper is responsible for picking and packing wholesale orders and loading shipping trucks.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Pick Orders: Picking the items off the shelves. Use Pallet Jacks, Wave picker, and electric forklift (Forklift certified required) to move items to the shipping work stations, as necessary.
• Prep order: Responsible for every item that is brought to you, and for every item that is not. Order must be checked for variances with quantities, any issues, you must bring them directly to your supervisor.
• Process order: Scan items into our system and maintain a high level of awareness while doing so. It is imperative that every order goes out the door with the upmost accuracy. Our high-profile customers have strict guidelines that must be followed to the best of our ability. Insurance must be added to every package.
• Packing orders: Properly place the items in a box or a pallet and secure the package as safely as possible. All boxes must meet our standard, they should be tested before it leaves your station.
• Shipping and Closing order: Close out your orders in our system and place the completed orders on their respective pallets.
• Miscellaneous Duties: Maintain your workstation clean and organized after the end of each day and/or any other area that you may be assigned. Bringing down pallets from the shelves, wrapping the community pallet, and fetching packing material for your teammates is a day-to-day responsibility of ours. Teamwork is a must.
• Perform additional duties/projects as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience working in a computer–aided warehouse environment preferred; experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV helpful.
• Must be certified to drive electric forklift to move stock between racks within warehouse.
• Requires strong attention to detail, ability to accurately produce repetitive work and follow directions.
• General computer skills are required. Prior experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.
• Must have strong math skills (counting, adding, subtracting).

• This position works in a warehouse environment with moderate noise levels. Temperature of work area is affected by outside temperature.
• Individual stands throughout the workday; may also involve walking/bending/stooping/reaching as needed primarily on a level surface throughout the day.
• Push and pulling heavy pallets and lifting products required. Physical strength to handle lifting/carrying up to 50-pound objects throughout the day.
• Requires normal sight, dexterity of hands and fingers with continual repetition.
