Wellness Center Trainer - Personal Care Job at Magnolia Manor
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Trainer monitors activity in the strength training and aerobic/cardio areas of the wellness center. The Trainer is responsible for assisting members with exercise activities and programs. The Trainer conducts periodic, routine daily observations concerning safety, maintenance and cleanliness of facility exercise areas, sauna/steam rooms, whirlpool spa and restrooms/dressing rooms; and performs the necessary work to ensure these areas are maintained, safe and clean. The Trainer is responsible for the accurate processing of daily registration, folding and stocking towels, and assisting the Program Coordinator as needed. Effective, clear communication skills and the ability to deal with the public in a positive, professional manner are required.
KEY STRENGTHS AND REQUIREMENTS:
The Trainer must possess effective knowledge and skills in the areas of:
a. Oral and written communication.
b. Health and fitness concepts.
c. Health equipment use and maintenance.
d. Fitness instruction.
e. Public relations and service.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
· Must have High School Diploma or its equivalent.
· Must have CPR and first aid certification.
