Scope of Responsibility:

Supervise all Shipping & Receiving, Material Handling and Warehouse Operations. Monitor and maintain all inventory issues through cycle counts and daily transactions. Monitor and resolve customer issues with regards to shipments following specific automotive requirements. Meet all customer shipping and notification requirements to maintain good supplier status for all benchmarks.

Specific Duties:

Supervise shipping/receiving, warehouse and material handling personal

• Ensure all personal are properly and fully trained. Develop back up and cross train as required.
• Maintain hourly/weekly attendance and assign overtime as needed.
• Ensure staffing of department to meet all customer requirements (weekends, holiday, etc)
• Schedule special shipments/trucks as needed. Outside Processing, supplier or customer related.
• Maintain customer container files on their systems.

Maintain FIFO Inventory procedures are followed * Manage material flow through out plant

• Coordinate cycle count program
• Monitor inventory levels for appropriate activity

Develop and maintain IATF 16949, ISO 14001 procedures and documentation * Maintain appropriate procedures to meet requirements of IATF16949/ISO14001

• Ensure all assigned personal are knowledgeable in IATF and ISO
• Participate in internal audit program

Monitor customer systems * Track and report out on all customer on time delivery

• Ensure all customer requirements are met concerning the answering of customer systems.(Smart, DDL, GM Supply Power, GMCCA)
• Ensure all challenges to violations are processed in a timely manner.

Manage departmental activities to meet Budget * Coordinate maintenance of all hilo's and warehouse equipment

• Monitor trash/scrap removal

Qualifications: (Education, Work Experience, etc.) * College degree preferred or 5 plus years of related experience

• 3 or more years Supervisor experience hipping/receiving, warehousing in an automotive environment
• MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and ERP Systems (PLEX)
• Experience using freight classification and codes
• Customer Systems: Smart, DDL, GM Supply Power, GMCCA
• Union Shop experience

Desired added skills * Knowledge of bar coding requirements and applications

• Strong planning, organizational and problem solving skills
• Thorough knowledge of JIT applications and philosophies
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, TS 16949 and ISO14001

Human Relations: * The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for coordination of all shipping/receiving and material handling activities in the facility. The Warehouse Supervisor is an excellent communicator and possesses the people skills necessary to manage a diverse team to achieve organizational goals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,362.00 - $68,000.00 per year
