What you will do

As the Warehouse Manager, you will oversee warehouse associates, picking, receiving, storage of inventory, inventory management and some administrative functions. The Warehouse Manager is an ambitious, self-starter with excellent judgement, highly organized, pays attention to detail and always eager to learn more. Problem-solving comes naturally to the Warehouse manager. The WM is confident at troubleshooting and investigate if they do not have enough information. The WM will work directly with the Project Managers and Operations Manager to ensure outgoing and incoming shipments are handled correctly, together with your small team of warehouse associates and are recorded properly into our ERP system.

You will report directly to the Operations Manager, North America. You will work closely with the other members of the operations team and other departments central to the company. The position is based in Bolingbrook, IL USA. In this role, you are required to act according to the Piab Code of Conduct and know and follow the Piab values, mission, and routines.

You will:

  • Work directly with an inventory control ERP system
  • Closing out shipped orders and receiving of company issued Purchase Orders in ERP system.
  • Management and control of inventoried items
  • Organization and cleanliness of warehouse area
  • Implementation of new processes within the shipping/receiving department

We are looking for

  • Strong communication skills (email and phone)
  • Strong interpersonal skills required to work with co-workers, management, and customers
  • Highly self-motivated and work in collaboration with the team
  • Experience as a Warehouse Manager
  • Proven experience with inventory control
  • Experience scheduling truck pick-ups and working directly with LTL carriers
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Experience, and Educational background

  • High School Diploma and 3+ years on the job experience in a warehouse environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in Warehouse Management or very similar experience.
