The Voucher Specialist offers child care information and referrals to parents, technical support to child care providers, maintains current provider information on the database, and provides income and eligibility assessment to consumers.

Duties

• Counsel eligible consumers about guideline to secure vouchers;
• Calculate voucher intake and eligibility guidelines for consumers;
• Issue child care vouchers;
• Manage a caseload of consumers;
• List and update child care provider information;
• Maintain accurate records related to consumers;
• Counsel child care providers looking for technical assistance in provision of voucher child care;
• Participate in community meetings; and
• All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must possess the qualifications required for their positions in accordance with EEC regulations;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to multi-task and work within a fast paced environment;
• Must be well organized with satisfactory computer skills;
• Previous customer service experience is preferred;
• Ability to travel locally;
• Background in child care and/or bilingual (English/Spanish) is helpful.
