Volunteer Coordinator/Family Support Worker Job at Catholic Charities, Diocese of Paterson
Job Summary:
The Family Support Workers functions as an integral part of the prevention team provides individual, group, family, didactic sessions, family activities, workshops, parenting classes, Parent Advisory Committee meetings and case management like services to the families on his/her caseload while ensuring that the requirements of all regulating bodies are met. FSW will have thorough understanding of principals of family support and the protective factors and utilize such in daily work with individuals and families. FSW will engage families toward building character and self-sufficiency. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with community partners, families and work with other departments of Straight and Narrow.
Qualifications:
At least a Associates degree. Must possess ability to type and be computer literate as well as work independently and be goal oriented. Bilingual English & Spanish preferred.
