MasteryPrep is an education services company that specializes in college entrance exam preparation. It is a fast-growing organization and one of the leading providers of ACT, SAT, STAAR, and TSIA2 preparation serving hundreds of thousands of students in districts across the country.

The company is expanding its line of TSIA2 products for the 2021-2022 school year and is looking for talented on-screen personalities to bring test prep-focused lessons to life. The videos will accompany various learning interactions within an asynchronous, online learning platform. Please note that subject matter expertise is not required for this position. We are in search of lively, energetic, and enthusiastic individuals who can translate their personality and a provided script through a camera. All assignments require some aspect of on-screen elements.

Requirements

• Review a provided script to ensure understanding and to determine places of emphasis, tone variation, and hand gestures or facial expressions.
• Record yourself as a virtual "instructor" in 30-80 videos, with an average length of 12 seconds. Some may be as short as 2 seconds, while others may be up to 30 seconds. All assignments require you to be on-screen.
• Review videos to ensure they are of good quality before submitting.
• Upload your videos to the designated online storage folder.
• Re-record any videos that have mis-spoken words, stuttering, or other audio or visual errors.
• Attend paid training to learn and practice meeting the quality expectations that will be expected for all assignments.

Requirements

• Excellent public speaking skills and an ability to connect with someone through the lens of a camera.
• Current ownership or a willingness to purchase a quality microphone, webcam, and ring light(s).
• Able to follow deadlines and produce quality work with a prompt turnaround, typically within 1 week.
• Familiarity using and access to the following: a stable internet connection, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Gmail, Dropbox, compatibility with Zoom video conferencing and Slack messaging.
• Acting or voice acting experience prioritized

Benefits

All contractors will be paid by assignment and only on completion. Most assignments will range between $60 and $120 for the completion of group of videos and dependent on the size of the assignment. Typically, expect to spend 1-2 hours per assignment. Smaller assignments will pay less and will be determined at the time of the assignment.
