B assett Healthcare Network, is seeking an internal Clinical Informaticist practitioner to offer a .2 FTE combined with their current clinical role. This work schedule offers flexibility, and some of this work can be done in the evening and/or on the weekend.
T he MD/DO/APC Clinical informaticist will serve as a critical leader in the organization with focus on using informatics capabilities to improve quality, efficiency, patient/clinician satisfaction and many other aspects of care delivery in the organization. The Clinical informaticist is a key leader in leading, implementing, operationalizing and monitoring Informatics projects throughout the Bassett Healthcare Network. The Informaticist will work with the operations, IT, Informatics and other teams as a member or leader of those teams in initiatives throughout the organization.
K ey Information about this Position:
• Apply knowledge of computer and information science principles to the advancement of medical science research, health professions education, public health, and care, including informatics, clinical informatics, and public health informatics.
• Use expertise to contribute to analyzing informatics strategy, technical and business requirements, computational science, and specific data type expertise.
• Provide leadership and mentoring in Informatics
• Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
• Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly creative solutions.
• Act as leader on large programs or projects that affect the organization’s long-term goals and objectives.
• Maintain familiarity with current clinical systems technology thereby advising affected stakeholders
