YellowPepper is a member of the Visa family since its acquisition in November 2020. YellowPepper's proven platform, Yepex®, enables issuers to easily launch card and account agnostic real-time payments solutions (P2P, P2M, and Cross-Border, among others) while providing value added services such as tokenization, identity validation and risk tools to deliver a complete transaction and service offering. The company is creating the Next Generation Payment Ecosystem to help financial institutions, retailers, and their customers to transact digitally, with security, anytime and anywhere. Operating in 11 countries, the Miami-based global company currently serves 50 clients and 6 million monthly active users.

YellowPepper is part of Visa Direct organization within the New flows group. New Flows represents a key strategic growth area for Visa, as we expand beyond core consumer card payments (C2B) and into broader money movement flows among individuals, businesses, and governments. Visa Direct enables fast, secure payments from business to consumer, business to small business, government to consumer and person to person direct to billions of endpoints worldwide. Visa Direct, is helping transform global money movement as we empower end users, businesses, and clients to move money globally.

We are looking for an experienced Vice President of Operations to oversee Yellowpepper’s ongoing operations and procedures. You will be the company’s second-in-command and responsible for the efficiency of business.

The VP of Operations role is a key member of the senior management team, reporting to the Global Head of Visa Direct Product (SVP and CEO of YellowPepper). You’ll have to maintain control of diverse business operations, so we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader. The goal of the VP of Operations position is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the business to meet business goals and projections.
  • Ensure operational excellence across the Company by leading cross-functional teams (Finance, Compliance, and Sales).
  • Produce reports on company operations
  • Empower the operational team with the leadership and resources they need to successfully complete operations initiatives
  • Positively represent the company at all times through a success-oriented and professional demeanor
  • Partner with other C-level and Visa Direct executives to accomplish short and long-term operational goals
  • Measure and report on operational performance and develop plans to improve relevant key performance indicators
  • Design and implementing business operations
  • Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
  • Oversee operations of the company and the work of areas


Qualifications

  • 12 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 15 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD)
  • Familiarity with the operational procedures at all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset that translates into leadership skills
  • Ability to inspire employees to live up to their potential and optimize their productivity
  • Masters or Doctorate in Business Administration, Law, Management or related areas
  • Ability to communicate vision to board of directors, other C-level officers and company employees

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two to three days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and every other Thursday with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 185,500.00 to 255,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
