We are currently seeking a Vice President of Operations to serve our South Central centers and is located in (LA,TX, AR, or OK).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION

The Vice President of Operations is responsible for supporting and guiding leadership in their region and establishing and maintaining effective professional relationships with clinicians, physicians, staff, patients, referral sources, and the public as well as formulating and administering policies and procedures, participating in strategic planning and business development activities, and assisting in the professional development and execution of the daily operations of the various mental health businesses.

The Vice President of Operations fulfills the following duties:

  • Participate in carrying out the short- and long-term goals established by the Chief Operating Officer, based upon broad organizational goals and objectives
  • Recommend, develop, and assist in the strategic long-range planning and budget process as it relates to all clinical departments in support of the clinics’ mission, philosophy, and goals and responsible for performance to budget on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
  • Evaluate and make recommendations for business development and expansion opportunities within assigned territories
  • Oversee the implementation of all expansion projects within the assigned region
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to management staff in establishing department objectives related to staffing, policies, and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with leadership in the development and governance of the annual budget for the clinic operations and implement plans to achieve budgetary goals
  • Monitor compliance of all clinic metrics (Customer Services, Membership, Retention, etc.) and ensure all operational services meet regulatory and quality standards
  • Provide continual process improvement including all clinic processes and/or services
  • Maintain professional affiliations and enhance professional growth and development to remain current in the changing healthcare trends as related to the management of clinical operations
  • Maintain and grow relationships with referral sources
  • Plan and facilitate community outreach and education activities, as appropriate to the position; may serve as a liaison and representative to community organizations
  • Promote the image of Refresh to the local, regional, and national communities
  • Adhere to all company policies on safety and security; maintain restricted areas by safeguarding facility entry protocols and computer system passwords in strict confidentiality
  • Practice confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance with Refresh Mental Health policies, as well as HIPAA and PHI standards and requirements
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development to guide regional teams on all protocols, practices, processes, duties, rules, regulations, etc.
  • Work with Talent Solutions team to ensure timely and effective recruiting strategies; work with the leadership of each organization in managing appropriate staffing levels and recruiting procedures and timing.
  • Assist in retention efforts by recognizing employee talents, tracking professional goals, and making suggestions to the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer relative to training programs and professional development activities.
  • Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization
  • Work effectively as a team member with other members of the management
  • Collaborate with appropriate business partners in conducting a client satisfaction survey program; implement and maintain along with metrics that measure improvement; set improvement expectations and manage outcomes

Requirements:

  • Must have facility licensing experience
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Master’s degree required; Doctoral degree preferred
  • A minimum of ten years’ experience with increasing management responsibilities within healthcare services as the top business leader of the practice or organization (current license for practice and clinical supervision preferred)
  • Must possess a strong understanding of clinic financials with the ability to analyze operations and continually implement operational improvements and processes
  • Strong business acumen and proven strategic leadership skills
  • Experience in organizational management with the ability to develop and implement program strategies
  • Deep experience in program budgeting and fiscal management
  • Track record of effectively leading a direct service organize with a complex array of programs, excellent project management skills
  • Ability to point to specific examples of having led organizational transformation projects and program development
  • Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation
  • Understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality; able to maintain confidentiality under HIPAA and PHI standards
  • Cultural sensitivity and demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups of people
  • Ability to build trust-based relationships as a strategic partner
  • Executive/Professional presentation skills including content development and delivery
  • Analytic and decisive decision-maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate objectives and goals effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent public speaking skills
  • Objection resolution skills that uncover additional needs while deepening the relationship
  • Ability to make solution recommendations client-focused and persuasive, collaborating with Business Development, Managed Care, or other divisional executives
  • Big picture thinker who is action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management
  • Passion, humility, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Must have strong ethical standards and support the company values
  • Position will be remote based with travel within the region as needed
