ASC Engineered Solutions is looking for a Vice President of Distribution to execute all distribution-related functions, achieve goals consistent with company profitability and provide excellent service to ASC customers and teammates. The position will be responsible for leading the implementation, and on-going management of our distribution network and/or partners. This role will have substantial cross functional interaction and visibility requiring collaboration with internal departments including but not limited to: Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, Legal, IT, and Finance.

A successful Vice President of Distribution candidate will have the ability to strategize and collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented culture, a proven track record as an excellent performance manager of senior level warehouse staff, as well as significant experience overseeing successful distribution centers. Creating and executing a best-in-class distribution network.

How You Will Help:

• Develop and lead distribution strategy for the company in support of ASC products while actively contributing to ASC's distribution strategic initiatives.
• Responsible for on-going oversight of the ASC distribution channel with primary focus on U.S. distribution; leading a network of 11 distribution centers, specialty distributors, and/or partnerships on a national level.
• Build analytics capability. Analyze reports that support inventory management of product supply. Leverage available reports and custom data offerings to inform decision-making and improve the customer experience while ensuring strong distribution center performance.
• Partner closely with customer facing teams and supply chain to ensure continuity between point of service demand, the field teams, and our manufacturing operations.
• Improve productivity, inventory optimization and turns improvement, while reducing operational cost.
• Work closely with the executive leadership team to establish future state vision and embrace lean / continuous improvement methodologies.
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Lead by example with a collaborative style while owning your metrics; holding self and others accountable to achieve results, raise the bar and create a “can do” results driven culture.
• Manage a budget and establish/track KPIs, metrics, performance, and dashboards.

What You Will Have:

• B.A./B.S. required; MBA preferred.
• Experience managing large warehouse, and transportation staff.
• Experience leading a network of multiple distribution warehouses.
• 8+ years on small parcel freight contracts and LTL contracts, with a solid knowledge of ocean, rail, and intermodal transportation a plus.
• Extensive background in storage utilization, both rack and bulked inventory.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset and a data driven, KPI management approach.
• Proven experience in managing high-value capital investment projects to include automation, MHE and WMS, TMS and LMS software integrations, as well as network optimization and the green-fielding of a distribution center.
