Job Description:
Responsible for leading the overall activities of all retail laundromat properties within the Dexter Retail Services portfolio, managing profit plans to obtain the short and long term goals and objectives of the business. Provides leadership and direction to all operational and functional activities to ensure that business operation strategies, goals, objectives and deliverables are achieved. Responsible for working with internal and external customers, to ensure that effective collaboration occurs in order to successfully meet assigned business goals and to optimize our stores and drive profitable growth.
Strategy Development
  • Direct the development and preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based upon broad company goals.
  • Direct the development and installation of company procedures and controls to maintain communication and adequate flow of information and to maintain adequate management control and direction of the locations
  • Develop and establish facility operating policies to ensure adequate execution
Leadership
  • Develop and maintain a sound plan of company organization.
  • Establishes policies to ensure management development and to provide for capable management succession.
  • Recommends changes in the company organization as required for the development and growth of the company.
  • Develop, coach and mentor skills of subordinates to maximize each direct report’s individual potential and capabilities.
Entrepreneurial Responsibility/Financial
  • Planning, optimization and controlling of the business in steering of all activities in order to:
    • Fulfill the market/customer requirements
    • Improve cost structure (fixed and variable)
    • Ensure compliance with legal guidelines
    • Evaluate and define activities to achieve or improve the financial and operational business goals
  • Responsible for Mergers & Acquisitions and integrating new store locations into current portfolio
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or related discipline
  • 10+ years progressive leadership experience, preferably in a service related business
  • Previous full Profit & Loss management experience is required
  • Experience developing and delivering annual operating budgets
  • Demonstrable strategic planning and business development
  • Experience with overseeing multiple retail locations and property management
  • Ability to speak/read/write Spanish is a plus
