Neel Veterinary Hospital, located in Oklahoma City, is a 24-hour facility offering Routine Wellness Care, Emergency, and Specialty services for cats, dogs, and exotic animals. We are hiring a Veterinary Technician to support our ICU! Are you passionate about nursing care, love complex cases, and prefer to work with inpatients? While we would love it if you have previous experience in an Emergency or Specialty setting, we are happy to mentor those from General Practice who are ready to learn.

Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:

• 
  Effective communication with both clients & team
• Safe handling & restraint of animals
• Obtain vital signs & medical history
• Venipuncture and placement of intravenous catheters
• Administer medications PO, SQ, IM, & IV
• Administer & monitor anesthesia
• Surgical assistance
• Bandaging & wound care
• Laboratory testing & radiography
• Specialty-specific diagnostics, procedures, and treatments

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with small animals and exotics in a clinical setting
• Graduate of an AVMA accredited veterinary technician program
• Current RVT license
• Weekend and overnight availability desired
