We are looking for a Veterinary Assistant / Kennel Assistant to join our team at our Romaine Creek location.

R Vet at Romaine Creek is located on the south side of Saint Louis County in Fenton and is surrounded by a variety of beautiful attractions, restaurants, and entertainment to suit any needs. Responsibilities:
-Feeding, watering, monitoring and charting animals information daily
-observing any possible injury, illness or notable instance with each animal
-communicating with the veterinary staff
-assisting in being present for Daycare and large groups of boarding
-weekend, week night and holiday kennel after hour shifts
-cleaning and sanitizing runs, suites, play yard daily
-designing suites or runs based on the animals need
-laundry and dishes
-assisting veterinary staff with cleaning or any duties that they would need help with

-has a passion for animals
-has background with the animal industry
-has experience in cleaning and basic care of dogs and cats
-Has knowledge in cleaning and sanitizing and the importance preventing spreading of disease or infection
-task oriented
-can manage time well
-someone who is comfortable with being in charge of multiple dogs at a time

Animal Husbandry and care is very important and we are looking for someone who is experienced in the animal industry and who can manage their tasks given in a proper amount of time that benefits the animals and the other employees. Someone who has a passion for animals and their well being and who will be comfortable with charting and basic care of any and all types of dogs and cats. Someone who is responsible and someone clients can trust with their pets. Someone who is observant and knows when to chart an issue or sudden illness with a boarder. Someone who is on time daily and has a positive, strong work ethic and is willing to do what it takes to keep the animals happy and healthy that are in their hands.
