Flex Time/After-hours Call Surgeon– Flexible Schedule and Great Pay
Do you love surgery and a flexible schedule? Do you want to minimize client communication? SAGE Veterinary Centers has a unique role for residency trained or boarded surgeons who want to join a team of specialists in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Your role at SAGE:
The Flex Time/After-hours Call Surgeon is a hero to patients and to your fellow surgeons and specialists because you are there when others are not available. You can opt for a part time or full-time schedule. Whichever schedule you choose, you will work much of your time on-call and will help to cover vacation and board study time.
Here’s how it works:
You would cover other surgeons’ vacation and board study time. You’d also be scheduled for on-call shifts. When you are on call, you only need to come in if there is a case to cut. For example, if there is an Emergency surgery at the hospitals you are covering, you cut the cases. If there are no after-hours cases, you don’t need to come in.
Pay and benefits:
- Flex Time/After-hours Call Surgeons are paid a base salary, with production.
- Signing and relocation bonus.
- SAGE provides a benefits package with generous employer cost sharing that includes medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, commuter benefits, cell phone plan, California licensing fees, liability insurance, uniforms, veterinary association memberships, CE reimbursement annually, ultrasound training, a 401(k) plan that can include employer contributions of up to 3% each year.
- There is opportunity to purchase equity in SAGE as a full-time doctor, and opportunity to be awarded equity in SAGE with tenure.
Locations:
We are seeking Flex Time/Evening Call Surgeons for Concord/Dublin and Redwood City/Campbell. Our hospitals are in the heart of the Bay Area, approximately 1 hour from San Francisco, 3.5 hrs to the Sierras/Tahoe, or Yosemite.
