Utility Worker - Sawmill
Quitman, GA | Temp to Perm | $12.00 / Hour
A lumber harvest and supply company is looking for a utility worker to help process lumber in a sawmill environment. This company is committed to growing forests for the future of the environment and production by planting more trees than they harvest. In this position, you will be expected to take ownership of your position, completing tasks in a timely manner and treating each task with care.
Responsibilities
- Stack plywood
- Operate a forklift
- Shovel and other manual labor tasks in a sawmill
- Complete additional tasks as requested by the clients
Experience and Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous forklift experience
Requirements
- Work well outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift and move 50 pounds
- A clean drug screen
- Wear and maintain PPE including steel toed boots
- Be on time and organized
- A clean background check
- Stand for the majority of the day
- Able to bend, stoop, reach, and more
Location: Quitman, Georgia
Pay Rate: $12.00 / Hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
