The Upholstery Department of Mayo Manufacturing is currently seeking to fill the following:
UPHOLSTERER (FURNITURE BUILDER)
Our upholsterers build sofas, loveseats, chairs, ottomans and other components, using their hands, staple guns, and nail guns, along with other materials. The Upholsterer is a skilled position that requires an eye for detail, shaping, symmetry, and design. It also requires speed and accuracy. Upholsterers work as a part of a team.
REQUIREMENTS
The upholsterer must be able to re-position items weighing more than 100 lbs and sometimes exceeding 150 lbs. Requires standing for long periods of time and the ability to maintain mobility and physical exertion for sustained periods of time, such as for a 10-hour work shift. Requires a positive disposition and ability to work well as part of a team.
HOURS
Hours for all production positions are generally 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday (with frequent Fridays and Saturdays required).
