Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. During this program, you will work in the drug product development organization to help deliver safe and effective medicines to every patient, every time.
  • Measure solubility and growth rate of particles in monoclonal antibody formulations as an approach to predict the timing of particle formation
  • Evaluate accelerated stability approaches for propensity of particle formation across different monoclonal antibody formulations
  • Review existing literature and historical data on polysorbate degradation and particle formation
  • Complete analytical training for visual inspection, subvisible particles & other particle-focused analytical methods
  • Evaluate temperature conditions to accelerate particle formation across different formulations

Basic Qualifications
Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
  • 18 years or older
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
  • Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
  • Enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
  • Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
  • Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the co-op
Preferred Qualifications
  • Focus of current degree program in chemistry, biotechnology, engineering, material science, pharmaceutical sciences, or related fields
  • Basic understanding of physical/chemical stability of proteins
  • Strong problem solving and effective cross-functional interpersonal skills
  • Established ability to learn at a rapid pace
